Founded in 1899, Bakewell Golf Club was designed by George Lowe, whose portfolio of course designs includes the iconic Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Bakewell GC is a 9-hole, 18-tee course and offers a testing and enjoyable challenge. The course is over a century old and set in the heart of the Peak District with stunning scenery.
With undulating fairways, changes in elevation and small but testing greens the course offers golfers of all standards an enjoyable challenge.
Course management is key to a good score. With some short par 4’s there is always a temptation to reach for your driver but with tight fairways and out of bounds looming the sensible shot may sometimes be a shorter one for position.
