The thriving market town of Bakewell lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Our golf course has great views overlooking the town and River Wye. Bakewell Golf Club enjoys glorious views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
Bakewell Golf Club was founded in 1899 after the course had been built to specific designs laid out by George Lowe, the Carnoustie born pro-greenkeeper turned pro-golf course designer. This 9 hole, 18 tee course offers golfers of all standards a testing but enjoyable challenge. The course is laid out on some particularly undulating ground and perfect for golfers who like a challenge. It poses a fine test of your golfing ability and continues to attract the discerning club golfers from all across Derbyshire – and beyond.
Our clubhouse has all the facilities you’d expect – changing rooms, showers and lockers. It also has a bar and catering facilities so you can unwind after your round of golf and get the chance to meet other members. The clubhouse is available to hire for private functions and is ideal for wedding receptions, anniversaries or birthday parties. Please contact us for more details if there is anything you wish to know.
